How to convert an image to SVG
- Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or BMP up to 30 MB.
- Tell us what it is: a logo, a drawing, a black and white image or a photo.
- Set the number of colors from 2 to 32 and how much fine detail to keep.
- Leave AI edge smoothing on if the image is small or blurry.
- Download SVG or PDF.
What it's good for
- Logo: few colors and clean edges, ready to scale up for a banner or sign.
- Drawing: illustrations and posters.
- Black and white: cutting, engraving, stencils, plotters.
- Photo: an artistic poster-style effect.
Why the outlines come out clean
Before tracing, an AI model enlarges small images 4x and removes noise. Ordinary converters trace every pixel, which gives jagged edges. We also reduce colors ourselves and snap fills back to the palette, so similar shades don't merge.
Formats and limits
SVG for websites and design, PDF for print shops. 5 images a day for free. Pro Photo removes the limit, allows up to 20 images at a time and adds DXF export with color layers for laser cutters, plotters and CNC. Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded.
FAQ
Can a photo become a vector?
You get an artistic version with flat color areas, like a poster. No tool can turn a photograph into an exact vector copy.
How many colors should I use for a logo?
As many as the logo has, plus the background. Usually 2-6. Fewer colors means simpler, cleaner shapes.
Does it work for plotters and lasers?
Yes. Choose Black and white and fewer details. DXF with color layers is part of Pro Photo.
How many can I do for free?
5 images a day as SVG or PDF, with no watermark.
