Upscale and enhance photos for free
AI enlarges your photo 2x or 4x and removes noise, blur and compression artifacts. It can also restore faces in old photos. 5 free photos a day up to 4K, no watermark. Your photos are never uploaded.
The AI redraws facial features, so the person may look slightly different. If that happens, lower the strength. The first time, a 170 MB AI model will be downloaded.

How to upscale an image
- Upload up to 5 photos: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or BMP, up to 50 MB each.
- Choose 2x for social media or 4x for printing.
- Choose the mode. Natural keeps texture and suits good photos. Deep clean removes noise and compression blocks from old or heavily compressed images.
- If there are faces, turn on Restore faces and set the strength from 20 to 100%.
- Compare before and after with the slider and download a JPG or PNG.
Restoring old photos
Scan the print, or photograph it with your phone in even light and without glare. Turn on Deep clean and face restoration. The face model redraws facial features, so a person may look slightly different: if that happens, lower the strength. By default faces are left alone and the photo is only enlarged and cleaned.
Free limits
5 photos a day up to 4K, no watermark, no sign-up. Pro Photo raises it to 8K and up to 50 photos at a time, from $2.99 a day with no auto-renewal.
Your photos stay on your device
The AI runs in your browser, on your GPU if you have one and on the CPU otherwise. Family photos and documents are never uploaded. The face model is 170 MB and downloads only once, the first time you turn it on.
FAQ
How much can I enlarge a photo?
2x or 4x. Free results go up to 4K, with Pro up to 8K on the long side.
Will it change the face?
Only if you turn on Restore faces. Without it, the AI enlarges and cleans the photo but doesn't redraw facial features.
Why is it slow?
The AI runs on your device. With a GPU it takes seconds; on a laptop without one, a photo with a face can take around 20-30 seconds.
Is it good enough for printing?
4x gives enough pixels to print a small photo much larger. It can't invent detail that isn't there, though: very blurry areas will be smoothed, not sharpened.
