How to make a PDF from photos
- Pick photos from your phone's gallery, or drag them in on a computer. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and BMP all work.
- Put them in order by dragging or with the arrows. Add more with + Add more.
- Choose a page size: Letter or A4 for documents and printing, Fit to photo to keep each picture whole.
- Click Make PDF and download the file.
When you need photos as a PDF
- Sending documents as one file: ID, proof of address, bank letters, contracts. Many offices ask for PDF specifically.
- Uploading to a portal that only takes PDF.
- Handing in homework, notes or receipts for an expense report.
- Printing several photos in a row on letter-size paper.
Phone photos come out the right way up
Phones often save a picture sideways and store how to rotate it in the photo's data. Many converters ignore that, and pages come out rotated. We read the orientation, so photos in the PDF look just like they do in your gallery.
No quality loss
JPG and PNG go into the PDF as they are, without recompression. Other formats are redrawn as high-quality JPG. That's why the PDF can get big: 10 phone photos at 4 MB each make roughly a 40 MB PDF.
For a lighter file for email or a portal, compress the PDF afterwards. Or shrink the photos first with compress image to 500 KB, and a 10-page PDF fits in about 5 MB.
Full page or margins
With no margins, the photo fills the page, which is nice for viewing. With 1 cm margins, prints look neater because the printer won't clip the edges. With Fit to photo, each page is exactly the size of the picture, with no white edges at all.
Page order
Photos are placed in the order you picked them. To change it, drag a thumbnail to a new spot or use its arrows. Flip through the thumbnails before building; it's easier to fix the order now than to rebuild the PDF later.
If your photos are documents
For tips on shooting ID cards and contracts straight and without glare, see scan to PDF. To add photos to an existing PDF, use merge PDF, which combines PDFs and images.
