How to convert PNG to PDF

  1. Drop your PNGs above. You can mix them with JPG and WebP.
  2. Put the pages in order by dragging or with the arrows.
  3. Pick a page size. For screenshots and diagrams, Fit to photo makes each page exactly the size of the image. For printing, pick Letter or A4.
  4. Pick margins: none or 1 cm.
  5. Click Make PDF and download the file.

PNGs go in losslessly

We place PNGs in the PDF as they are, without converting them to JPG. Small text in screenshots, thin lines in drawings and labels on diagrams stay clean, with no fuzzy halos around letters. Many converters quietly turn PNG into JPG to save space, and text is what suffers most.

Which page size to choose

SizeWhen to use it
Letterprinting and documents in the US and Canada
A4printing and documents almost everywhere else
Fit to photoscreenshots, slides, diagrams: each page matches the image

On Letter or A4 the image is fitted whole, keeping its proportions. A wide image, like a desktop screenshot, will have white space above and below. With Fit to photo there's none.

Margins and printing

If the PDF will be printed, add 1 cm margins: many printers can't print to the very edge and may clip part of the image. For on-screen reading, no margins needed. For drawings that will be printed to scale, make sure your print settings use 100% or Actual size.

If the PDF ends up heavy

Lossless PNGs are bigger than JPGs, especially photos that were saved as PNG. If the PDF is too big for a site or email, you have two options:

  • convert photos to JPG before combining with PNG to JPG;
  • build the PDF as is, then compress the PDF; any text in it stays real text.

What it's handy for

  • sending several screenshots as one file to support or your bank;
  • collecting diagrams and drawings for printing;
  • making a PDF from slides exported as images;
  • transparent areas of a PNG show as white in the PDF, like paper.

On your phone

The page works in mobile browsers: pick screenshots from your gallery, set the order and make the PDF. It saves to your downloads, ready to share.

Limits

Free: up to 60 images at a time, up to 300 MB each, no daily limit and no watermarks. Pro Photo: up to 500 images at a time. Files are never uploaded.
